Summer of Solutions 2026
On April 8, we officially launched the “Summer of Solutions” module at the University of Rostock. Sixty-two students and 13 organizations gathered for the kickoff event to share initial ideas and questions. In the Summer of Solutions, interdisciplinary student teams will work on real-world challenges from business, government, and civil society during the summer semester of 2026—supported by mentors and experts from both the professional world and academia.
On Wednesday, July 8, we will hear at the closing event about the solutions, concepts, and ideas that have emerged from this collaboration.

Netzwerk Zukunftsgestaltung
After a short summer break, we’ll be back with our next network meeting on September 15. In the meantime, you can check out the project’s new website. We’ve also welcomed a new member to the network: Julia Breidenstein from Humana is now part of the group.
Through workshops and facilitated discussions, the network aims to help embed sustainability as an integral part of an organization. You can join the network at any time. See below for all the information you need to get started**
UCR Trialogue
Following the kick-off event on March 26 and online information sessions under the theme “Resilient Urban Landscapes: Heat Protection, Water Retention, and Enhancing Biodiversity,” the UCR-Trialogue project is now moving forward with great enthusiasm.
Together with our partners, IETU and the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture, and Environmental Engineering at the University of Zielona Góra, as well as stakeholder groups from Germany and Poland, we are engaging in dialogue with the academic community, government, the business sector, and citizens. The goal is to develop solutions that strengthen the resilience of Erkner and Zielona Góra to the effects of climate change.
To this end, two working groups have been launched: Group 1 (Urban Climate Maps) and Group 2 (Catalog of Solutions). Get involved in one of the working groups and be part of the change!
