Another year at the Future Living is coming to an end. Together with partners across Brandenburgs business landscape, we realized inspiring and educational collaborations, expanded our work with universities, and prepared new international projects.
In 2026, we are launching for exciting new projects both in Brandenburg and beyond and we are already looking forward to them immensely.

Netzwerk Zukunftsgestaltung
Less CO₂, less effort, more knowledge thanks to a network that thinks together.
In this digital learning and exchange format, we bring together companies, municipalities, and non-profits around sustainability topics. Through moderated peer exchange, participants learn from one another, receive updates on the latest legal frameworks and environmental standards during information sessions, and gain feedback on their own sustainability-related challenges.
The program is open to anyone with basic knowledge in sustainability management and CO₂ accounting.
Leibniz Institute of Vegetable and Ornamental Crops (IGZ)
Sustainability is a central component of the work carried out by the IGZ in Großbeeren. The institute conducts fundamental plant science research with a strong focus on practical applications in horticulture and the use of plant biodiversity.
In this new project, we are supporting the IGZ in unlocking even greater ecological sustainability within its operational processes. Through the implementation of an energy management system in accordance with ISO 50001, the institute aims to systematically and sustainably improve its energy efficiency.

UCR Trialogue
(Interreg Brandenburg – Polska, co-financed by the European Union)
As part of the “Urban Climate Resilience Trialogue” (UCRT) project, we are collaborating with the IETU Research Institute and the University of Zielona Góra to develop a data-driven method for climate risk assessment (urban climate maps) and a concept for designing biodiversity-rich retention areas. The concept is being implemented on pilot sites in Erkner and Zielona Góra, and the evaluated project results are being prepared for application in other European cities.
