Rebecca Jaeger stepped in on short notice for Dr. Anke Bytomski-Guerrier and spoke about local sustainability in the book industry at the 200th anniversary congress of the German Publishers and Booksellers Association.

Rebecca Jäger is Sustainability Manager at The Future Living INT GmbH. Last year, the company supported eight companies in the book industry in drawing up a carbon footprint and preparing them for the path to carbon neutrality. Experiences and practical examples from these consultations will be presented at the German book industry congress.

In a project organised by the IHK Ostbrandenburg, companies worked with the consultancy firm The Future Living to draw up their carbon footprint and derive measures to reduce it. Humana Kleidersammlung GmbH in Hoppegarten near Berlin took part. Sustainable management is already part of their business model.
