We are excited to announce that Summer of Solutions will return in January 2026, this time in partnership with the University of Rostock!
How does the project work?
During the summer semester, interdisciplinary student teams work for several weeks on real-world challenges provided by companies, municipalities, and non-profit organizations. They are supported by mentors from both academia and industry. The result: innovative solutions and prototypes with real impact. Project topics are diverse, ranging from urban development and mobility to energy and resource management.
Over the past year, we have developed a transformation concept with the University of Rostock. As part of that we hosted a Transformation Workshop —a multi-day series of workshops in March 2025— and worked together with professors, university staff, students, and representatives from the Rostock city administration to identify and define key action areas. We are happy and are looking forward to continue this collaboration!
