Why participate in the Summer of Solutions?
For the Textile-Service-Team, the motivation is clear: curiosity about new ideas and a strong interest in exchange. The chance to work alongside students and universities, to develop innovative approaches together, and to test practical solutions is particularly valuable. This includes exploring topics such as the textile lifecycle and intelligent resource use.
Since 1990, Textile Service in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern has been providing companies from various sectors with workwear. The service portfolio covers everything from custom design and precise employee outfitting to the organization of regular cleaning, repairs, and maintenance.
Sustainability is firmly integrated into daily business operations and is evident in the business model. This commitment is reflected in initiatives such as energy-saving upgrades, the use of digital applications, and efforts to reduce paper and packaging waste. Greening the site and establishing beehives also highlight the company’s environmental awareness. Various certifications and awards underline this commitment.
Challenges and open questions remain
Despite many achievements, the company continues to face challenges, particularly in switching the vehicle fleet to alternative drives and recycling workwear. Practical solutions for these areas are still lacking in the market. Individual customer requirements and regulatory demands also increase the need for flexibility and creative ideas.
We are eager to see which topics, ideas, and solutions will emerge during the Summer Semester 2026
